BECOME A SAFER & MORE CONFIDENT DIVER!
IANTD training is all about training safe, responsible, knowledgeable, thinking divers with the skills to explore safely new and challenging dives.
IANTD has been at the cutting edge of technical diver training for more than 30 years and continues to set the pace that others follow. From the first nitrox course in the world to its recreational trimix programs which allow for reduced narcosis in the entry-level tech depth range, through to CCR Cave and Expedition Trimix, IANTD has been setting the standard since the very beginning.
Intro to Tec:
Explains the Hogarth (long hose) setup which is used on Twinset diving, if you haven't used this before its worth going through this configuration as well as the equipment needed for this type of diving before moving onto self-sufficient. Normally this can be done as part of a general dive in shallow waters.
IANTD Self Sufficient Diver:
Gas planning, valve shutdowns, delayed surface marker buoy (DSMB) deployment and personal skills are all combined to boost confidence, reduce gas consumption and manage stress, making the result more enjoyable recreational dives for you and your buddy.
Anyone diver qualified from PADI Advanced Open Water upwards can become an IANTD Self-Sufficient diver, though we recommend EANx is used to maximise the benefits. The course also servces as a perfect introduction to diving twinsets if you also want to use it as a stepping stone to deeper things.
Duration 2 days:
IANTD Advanced Recreational Trimix Diver
The best course for entry level technical divers has just had it's depth limit extended to 45m.
Ideal for both open circuit and CCR divers looking to move into the 40-50m range in good style, ART offers a solid grounding in redundancy, dive planning, physiology, decompression theory and current technical dive practice. Use of weak trimix removes narcosis and enhances both the mental performance that underpins all good diving.
You'll be trained to solve problems underwater and decompress on up to 100% O2. Skills are introduced and enhanced in progressive training that matches the pace you learn best at. If you are an existing Deep Spec diver, this is your next step toward excellent diving.
NOTE: this course can be undertaken on either open circuit or a closed circuit AP inspiration or Evolution rebreather.
